AudioQuest PEARL 48 - 8K/10K HDMI cable - HIGHLIGHT

Fabulous image quality and revolutionized interference suppression

  • Solid conductor made of LGC (copper)
  • 48Gps, HDMI2.1, eARC, 8K/10K, HDR10+, HDCP2.3
  • Insulation: Nitrogen-containing hard cell foam
  • Gold plated connector

With the AudioQuest Pearl 48, the user is assured of image and sound quality from the first minute. The very thin and movable cable jacket already offers all the advantages when it comes to laying or hiding the cable. The HDMI plugs are high quality and have a very useful shallow depth, so wall-mounted TVs or AV receivers can remain close to the wall.

All sources of interference or unnecessary distortion are reduced by the proven solid copper conductors. This already worked very well with its predecessor, the AudioQuest Pearl. The most important feature for all users is the image quality with high-resolution sources and this is reliably delivered with the ultra-fast Pearl 48.

Available lengths

The Pearl 48 is available in various lengths from 0.6 meters to 15 meters. However, the HDMI cable only offers the important 48Gbps HDMI for lengths up to and including 5m in order to cope with the most difficult requirements.

All of AudioQuest's new 48Gbits HDMI cables can transmit up to 10K Ultra HD video. The impressive data rate of 48 Gbits is made possible by four symmetrical audio/video pairs of 12 Gbits each. And of course, the latest technology is backwards compatible with 4K displays. Video up to 10K AudioQuest 48Gbits HDMI Cables are fully backwards compatible with existing devices and have the bandwidth required for video with resolutions up to 10K and resolutions/refresh rates up to 8K/60hz and 4K/120hz with HDR (High Dynamic Range).

HDR playback

The AudioQuest Pearl 48 HDMI cable supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Dynamic HDR. HDR content expands the contrast of the image for blacker blacks and brighter whites and highlights, as well as greater color saturation and brightness. Additionally, 4K Ultra HD content allows for a wider color range. This combination of technologies results in more realistic HDR images with greater perceived depth.

Dynamic HDR (e.g. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision) enables single-frame HDR optimization instead of HDR settings fixed for the entire program. The best-known current HDR formats are HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. AudioQuest 18Gbits and 48Gbits HDMI cables are compatible with all types of HDR available on Ultra HD Blu-ray, as well as all major streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+ and others.

ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Extended Audio Return Channel)

HDMI's Audio Return Channel (ARC) sends audio from a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver to make system setup easier and more flexible. The previous ARC functions of the hardware are used to their maximum with lossy (compressed) 5.1-channel surround sound. The AudioQuest Pearl 48 HDMI Cable supports the Extended Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases digital bandwidth and supports uncompressed and lossless high-resolution multi-channel audio. These include, for example, Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
