The GT-5000 is based on the turntables of the 1970s and 1980s and aims to demonstrate pure musicality using state-of-the-art technology. A straight, short tonearm ensures perfect tonal transparency. The symmetrical signal routing transmits the sound with flawless purity.
Optics of the GT series
The GT-5000 looks back to the "Golden Age" of traditional hi-fi components. Large and titanic, this extraordinary record player ensures optimal sound through reduced vibrations thanks to its heavy wooden housing and solid turntable.
Short and direct
The precise signal recording of the record is the essential first part of authentic music reproduction.
It uses a short, straight tonearm that offers optimal tracking with superior rigidity and the right balance between weight and mechanics.
Thanks to the stable mechanism and simple construction, an anti-skating weight is not necessary.
Special belt drive
The special belt drive minimizes the influence of motor cogging torques. This ensures a particularly open and precise sound.
The original GT concept uses internal mass to counteract feedback control. The GT-5000 is based on this system and counteracts the feedback control through the belt drive.
Heavy 5kg aluminum plate
The heavy aluminum platter weighs 5 kg and further improves the synchronization stability and therefore playback.
The driver
The GT-5000 is powered by a 24-pole two-phase AC synchronous motor that produces an accurate sine wave.
Rock solid
The turntable is constructed to be exceptionally robust and stable - right down to the specially developed feet, which are perfectly tailored to the top model.
The special feet are solid and heavy, yet designed in the luxurious style of the GT-5000 and support the outstanding sound quality.
Piano lacquer
The GT-5000 shines in an elegant high-gloss finish that is reminiscent of a Yamaha grand piano. This means it fits perfectly with the C-5000 preamplifier, the M-5000 power amplifier and the NS-5000 high-end speakers.
