Extremely musical, precise and detailed sound

The MODEL 30 is based on a customized HDAM (Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Module), a board with discrete circuits. Instead of taking an off-the-shelf solution, hundreds of individual parts were carefully selected and tested for the MODEL 30 HDAM. This easily exceeds the performance of standard integrated circuits and delivers the unique musicality you expect from Marantz.

Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ

The MODEL 30's Phono EQ stage simplifies the signal path - crucial given the sensitivity of phono signals - ensuring optimal sound quality. Thanks to the built-in MC pickup amplifier, the device can be used with both MC pickups with low output voltage and MM pickups. The design minimizes distortions. Therefore, two-stage amplification is used for the phono stage. In the input stage, Marantz HDAMs are combined with J-FETs to enable high input impedance. This means that the feedback-free design does not require any coupling capacitor, which in turn counteracts distortion and improves signal purity.

Input impedance selector for MC/MM phono

The MODEL 30 offers optimal sound quality with MC and MM pickups. It is equipped with three-stage input impedance switching to further optimize sound performance when using a cartridge with an MC system. There are the following settings for the input impedance: MC LOW (33 ohms), MC MID (100 ohms) and MC HIGH (390 ohms).

Like its counterpart, the SACD 30n streaming CD player, the MODEL 30 integrated amplifier was designed to meet the highest demands. The robust housing consists of thick, heavy, non-magnetic aluminum panels and a sturdy steel cover to counteract interference. Stable, separate connection sockets for CD and phono milled from brass, as well as high-quality Marantz's own copper speaker terminals coated with high-purity nickel ensure the highest possible signal quality.
