AudioQuest Greyhound subwoofer cable
With the AudioQuest Greyhound subwoofer cable you create a first-class connection between AV receiver and subwoofer.
Noise dissipation through metal layer
Simply achieving complete shield coverage is possible, but not sufficient. AQ's Noise-Dissipation System is therefore essential. It prevents radio frequency interference (RFI) from affecting the ground reference. Normal shields absorb noise and direct it to the equipment ground, modulating and distorting the important ground reference. The NDS system effectively blocks and reflects the majority of this interference.
Solid 0.5% silver conductor
Solid silver-plated conductors reduce distortion caused by strand interaction. High frequencies propagate mainly on the surface. The pure silver surface delivers almost the performance of all-silver cables, but remains more affordable. This makes it a cost-effective choice for high-quality subwoofer cables.
HyperLitz coax geometry
Eight negative conductors surround a larger positive conductor in a perfect circle. This structure maximizes cross-sectional area and reduces skin effects while keeping resistance low.
Cold-welded, gold-plated connectors
Designed without soldering, this connector design avoids common sources of distortion. A high-pressure technique is used and the end sleeves are stamped, not machined, so the metal remains optimally low in distortion.
Foamed polyethylene insulation
Foamed PE, rich in air, absorbs hardly any energy. This prevents distortions that are common with other materials. The air pockets stabilize the impedance and further minimize distortions over the entire length of the cable.
