Construction
The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted, which means the cable is highly effectively shielded against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.
A) Conductors: Three 2.0 mm 2 thick conductors made of 40 silver-plated 99.9999% OFC copper strands ensure high conductivity over a long period of time.
B) Dielectric: A dielectric made of polyethylene (PE) guarantees very uniform insulation over a wide frequency range. PE is highly resistant to stress cracking and has a low coefficient of friction for exceptional dielectric properties. PE is a good choice in terms of both temperature and electrical safety.
C) Filler: Cotton filler for more stability and to reduce microphonic effects. Cotton also has excellent dielectric properties.
D) Cover: A paper cover surrounds the structure before it is enclosed by the flexible PVC jacket. The combination of paper, cotton and PVC also has excellent dielectric properties.
E) Jacket: A PVC outer jacket with a diameter of 10 mm ensures the best flexibility and stability.
Connectors: The IsoTek Initium cable features IsoTek's custom-molded nickel-plated solid copper connectors. This ensures optimal quality.
