The KRIX MX-40 basic module is the flagship system of the MX series. Equipped with a 3-way construction, it is capable of producing immense sound pressure levels while maintaining the absolute highest level of soundtrack reproduction.

The KRIX MX-40 Base Module speaker system is the first in the MX Series to feature a 3-way design - delivering an incredibly smooth, consistent and immersive experience that encompasses the true dynamic power and clarity of true cinema sound.
Similar to the KRIX MX-30 basic module, the KRIX MX-40 basic module is best suited for larger home theaters that are five to fourteen meters deep. The new 3-way design features a dedicated tweeter compression driver and a newly developed 152mm midrange driver, both coupled to a brand new one-piece dual horn system developed by Krix over three years. The horn's main advantages are smooth, consistent dispersion, improved frequency response and extremely low distortion, even at extreme sound pressure levels.
The 380mm woofers are constructed of a highly rigid paper cone, with a 77mm voice coil for increased linear excursion and a powerful, vented magnet assembly that reduces distortion.
Each of the two subwoofers contains a 455mm driver with a 100mm voice coil, dual spider and vented magnet assembly for clean, tight and powerful bass that you will hear... and feel.
The KRIX MX-40 basic module is the first system in the MX series that is bi-amp capable and has two pairs of terminals per speaker module. The patterned acoustic material on the front baffle gives the unit a sophisticated style and increases the overall absorption area.
