The “AMP” was specifically designed to customize entire home audio systems and is the partner amplifier of the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK. Thus, it can increase the volume of speakers and/or the maximum output power. It can also be used to drive the speakers of a secondary zone on Yamaha AV receivers with zone pre outs.

Sound soulmates
The XDA-AMP5400RK - the "AMP" - was designed as a counterpart to the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK to provide additional speaker connections in an integrated multi-room audio system. It is also a perfect match for Yamaha AV receivers that have zone pre outputs.

The AMP combines eight channels of audiophile amplification in a strikingly flat housing of just 1 height unit. This allows you to make optimal use of the space in your rack.
Incredibly versatile
Connect up to four sources from the QS Pre-Outs to the AMP - its four audio paths can be patched together to form a wide range of speaker/zone configurations. The AMP features a variety of jumpers and cables that make it extremely versatile out of the box. Alternatively, the audio outputs can also be used to connect active subwoofers or subwoofer power amplifiers.

Audiophile amplification
The XDA-AMP5400RK uses highly efficient ICEpower circuitry to provide eight channels of finest, dynamic digital amplification at 50 watts per channel (8 ohms). It achieves a frequency response of 5 Hz to 40 kHz (+0/-3 dB) and a signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB. It delivers 100 watts per channel at 4 ohms and can be bridged to 8 ohms for 200 watts per channel.
No more ground loops
The curse of custom-made products: the ground loop, a common problem when connecting many electronic devices in a rack. The QS addresses the problem with a brilliantly designed differential circuit. Sometimes what you don't hear sounds best.
The Yamaha XDA-AMP5400RK has a lot of power under the hood
The XDA-AMP5400RK uses balanced audio circuitry and PML capacitors, as used in our flagship AVENTAGE series AV components. The result is a more realistic, expressive reproduction of your favorite music.
Versatile installation
The included rack wings enable installation in a rack, but can also be removed for shelf use. The magnetic front panel, which is also included, prevents unauthorized access and forms the perfect visual finish.
Harmonious together
When a QS and an AMP are shared, you can simply connect the corresponding trigger connections to automatically turn the amp zones on and off - no additional control device is necessary. The AMP also works perfectly in harmony with AVENTAGE AV receivers. When using the AMP with other sources, signal sensors and infrared I/Os provide additional control flexibility.
Adaptable connection options
The AMP was developed with individual integration in mind. It offers Euroblock-style speaker connections and a detachable power cable.
